Jacari aims to support local schools in tackling educational inequalities across our city. Tutoring is one of the best ways to boost children's learning disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. A Bell Foundation report in Summer 2021 reported that children and young people with English as an Additional Language (EAL) had been disproportionately affected by the pandemic lockdowns. Bespoke 1:1 tuition from a Jacari volunteer aims to rebuild language support.
