Musicmakers Bristol

23/09/2026

We are a music teaching practice, established over 25 years ago, based at the Ashton Gate end of North Street in south Bristol. We offer lessons in piano, organ, electronic keyboard, flute, singing and theory of music to children and adults of all ages and abilities. Our aim is to make learning to play an instrument as enjoyable and fun an experience as possible and to make music accessible to people of any age, background or ability. All of our teachers hold a professional qualification in either music, teaching or both and are members of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), the UK's professional body for private music teachers. Lessons take place in light, warm and suitable teaching rooms with good quality instruments in a beautiful and architecturally award winning 1950’s church. We follow ISM best practice guidelines for the conduct of all lessons and each teacher has a full and up to date DBS certificate.

Musicmakers. Quality, Bristol based, one to one instrument and singing tuition for children and adults of all ages and abilities. Piano lessons, singing lessons, electronic keyboard lessons, flute and theory of music lessons. Professionally qualified, fully DBS checked teachers.

Did You Know ?
Private music teaching in the UK is a completely unregulated industry. This means that anybody, regardless of ability, experience, qualifications and suitability to work with children, can set up a music teaching business and provide lessons to people either in their own home or at a rented venue. When you or your child takes lessons with us you can do so safe in the knowledge that all of our teachers hold both a professional qualification in music or teaching or both as well as a full and current DBS check to ensure their suitability to work with both children and vulnerable adults. We are all experienced and regular paid public performers of the instruments that we teach and members of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, the learned society for professional musicians. We follow ISM guidelines and recommendations on best practice for private music lessons and hold full public liability insurance covering all of our teaching activities and premises
