IT'S SUMMER! 🌞 And in summer, a lot of students show up concerned about not having practised much.
IT'S OKAY. Let's enjoy our holidays. Let's eat ice cream. Let's fill the paddling pool. Let's not shut ourselves away with the windows closed to practise paradiddles.
If you're really into drums then you're going to be practising your ENTIRE LIFE! That's a long time. There's time for discipline. And there's time to enjoy life.
In fact, ENJOYING LIFE WILL MAKE YOUR PLAYING BETTER! As I say often, no-one wants to go to a show and watch a miserable drummer.
So again, eat ice cream, fill the paddling pool... and maybe take your practice pad out in the garden once in a while 😉

Stefano doing GREAT here and smashing through the comfort zone barrier to play this set to camera for the first time ever!
The tunes he was playing with are NOT SIMPLE (Rush, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix). Playing with a camera in your face for the first time is NOT EASY. But Stefano overcame a shakier start and got more & more comfortable as he went on.
Huge respect to Stefano. Let's all follow his example and be unafraid to share our progress so everyone else can benefit too 💪

Children are infinitely varied.
