In September a student came to Step Up having failed both his English language papers 1 and 2 in June. We had seven lessons. I have just received a text message from the student confirming he has now passed both exams. We are so proud of our track record at Step Up in both maths and English.

Today we remember.
On this Remembrance Day, we pause to honour and reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of all who have served in times of war and peace. Their bravery has shaped the freedoms and values we hold dear today.

As we wear our poppies with pride, let us take a moment of silence to remember those who gave their lives, those who returned forever changed, and the families who stood behind them with strength and love.

📅 August 21st is a landmark day for Year 11 students across the UK — the day GCSE results are officially released. For many, it marks the culmination of years of study and the beginning of new opportunities.

🇺🇦 This year, one story particularly stands out — the journey of Dina, a student from Ukraine. Dina has been part of Step Up since 2020, studying online even before moving to the UK. When the war began, she and her family relocated, and Dina continued her studies in a British school from Year 10.

🏆 Just two years later, she has achieved the highest results in her GCSE exams — a truly remarkable accomplishment!
