Getting stuck in!
At the end of last term, Year 6 enjoyed climbing, paddleboarding, and tackling the assault course on camp. Already this term, Chloe from Her Game Too inspired us with a talk on inclusivity in sport, Year 5 loved making pizzas with , Sport have delivered brilliant gymnastics sessions, and classes have been enjoying Forest School adventures.

Thanks to the PTA, the children (and staff) enjoyed a performance by professional beatboxer Danny Ladwa. He was amazing and the children were mesmerised by his skill and his story.

Another exciting term at Southville Primary!
Children made their own Maya/Aztec hot chocolate️, created their own version of the North Street heritage trail️, met Viking visitors who brought their topic to life️, baked healthy flapjacks, visited the aquarium, and much more!

Term 5 has been full of exciting moments at Southville!
The children have explored new experiences on residential trips and dived into fascinating topics like the Bristol Carnival, the wonders of the Amazon, and the thrilling adventures of Arctic and Antarctic explorers. They’ve been inspired by fun assemblies on mushroom installations and beyond, worked on their skills through creative activities, and learned from expert visitors. It’s been a term full of engaging learning and new discoveries!

Author & multilingual literacy advocate Yosh*to Darmon-Shimamori inspired KS2 with his story & showed why being multilingual is a superpower! He also read stories in French with KS1 & led engaging parent workshops.

Kicking off Multicultural Fortnight in style!
Our Year 6 Language Ambassadors visited KS2 classes & shared videos with KS1, spreading their love of languages. 🎉
Other children and parents are already getting involved—sharing phrases, counting, and bringing in stories in different languages!
