12th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

This one was a compromise. I had 12 of the greatest drummers of all time playing on drum kits. The idea was to have them all in a circle and to pan from one to the next. This was too much for AI and I spent hours on a work around and it just wasn't good enough. I will do this for next year ;-)

Visually though, I think this is a pretty strong way to end the 12 Drumming Days of Christmas. The complexity of what AI can come up with is incredible, but don't be fooled. It is not easy to get what you want!

That brings me to the end of my 12 Drumming Days of Christmas. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed producing them.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone :-)

11th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

This was the hardest to produce and required quite a lot of compromise. There are quite a few glitches in it, but it was great fun to do! 11 Pipers Piping, becomes 11 Hypers Hyping. They are all Hype Men and Women. See how many you can spot!

10th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

I think this is the one I am most proud of. 10 Lords-a-leaping, becomes 10 Timelords Timekeeping. It is the last 10 Dr Whos. This was a lot of work. It took hours! If you have any questions about the production of these videos, please feel free to ask.

Can you spot all 10 Time Lords?

9th Drumming Day of Bristol (Short)

This one is fun... 9 Ladies Dancing becomes, 9 Breakbeat Dancing... I think this amazing AI generated lady might be slightly double jointed... Spot the AI glitches, bi***es...

8th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

This one's the funniest one I think... Eight Maids-a-moshing! Winner!!!

Plenty of AI glitches in this one!

7th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

This is probably my favourite one. B**go B**g, by Manu Chao, is one of my all time favourite tracks. This video features 7 Manu Chaos bonging bongos! What's not to like?!?!?!

P.S. Don't ask me why he has a Bristol accent!

6th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

Ok, so I think I've got the hang of the pan and the pun and the attention grabbing stuff... Six Geese-a-laying anyone?!

5th Drumming Day of Christmas (Short)

This was my first attempt at a one-shot pan, from one scene to another, and it worked, but it was too long, so I had to cut and blend it. I had alsorts of shenanigans with the AI on this one. At one point I ended up with a 12 foot transvestite giant bass player, that morphed into a dwarf as it zoomed in... And yes... it's not a 5-piece kit! ;-p

P.S. I have really got into the idea of contrasts at this point... Carol singers to a punk rock band... pretty attention grabbing I think.

Let me know what you think?

By Day 4 of the 12 Drumming Days of Christmas, I had a format, with an intro and a punchline, as two separate videos. Later I was to realise that one continuous video worked much better, but I still like this one... the Oompah Band is crazy! :-)

By the 3rd Drumming Day of Christmas, I had realised that these videos had to be immediately attention grabbing. I think I got it with this one... Let me know what you think...
