Y6 children have been litter picking the local area this Easter holiday, hoping to fundraise for their end of year party!
This crew collected bags and bags on Park Road and in the entrance to Stoke Park this afternoon, and others have been out around Begbrook school and also Trendelwood Park.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will help give the children the send-off they deserve!
Thanks in advance if you're able to donate, the GoFundMe page is here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/begbrook-leavers-class-of-2026

We’re so close to being able to start transforming our outdoor play spaces for the children 🌿
As you know, even the most creative and resourceful play ideas can quickly become expensive! This year the PTFA is continuing its great effort by focusing on doing two big events really well – the Begbrook Colour Fun Run and Begfest – so we can pour as much profit as possible straight back into the school.
We’re sharing this moodboard to show the kinds of things we’re hoping to create and to inspire the children as they collect sponsorship for the Colour Run.
Every sponsorship helps bring us closer to better outdoor play for all our children 💛
We’re hoping to start building and installing very soon, once all the hoops have been jumped! Thanks so much for your continued support ❤️
We’re also almost a registered charity, which will help us gain access to more funding and grants for enriching our children’s school lives ✨

What a night! What a team! Can’t express how proud we are of our lil bundle of incredibly hardworking volunteers and staff!
We pulled off a very lovely fireworks night, and have so many people to thank for making it such a success!
Thank you so much to Rob and his team Cotswold Fireworks Ltd for such a thoughtful and coordinated display that we all adored!
A few local members of New Hibernia, Bristol, an Irish music community group from Bristol, supported our event for free- and brought the best vibes to set a wonderful tone for the event, we are beyond grateful to Richard and his members.
Avon Fire & Rescue Service brought their fire engine and gave us so much info and education about fire safety, as well as trying on their hats! (I still need a pic of this so send me one if you have one)
St John Ambulance brought their ambulance and first aiders to cover our event safety and made so many children’s days!
Marc from Good Chemistry Brewing goodchembrew donated the best brews for the bar- a Begbrook parent’s own business!
The amazing Madie from Asda Filton donated us supplies for our VERY popular hot dogs with all the toppings- keeping us fuelled through the night!
Our Begbrook parent Finola loaned us her gazebos that she uses for her work and thank goodness, cause we don’t know what we would do without them- she gives them us for every event!!
Mike, Tim and the site team, setting up all the infrastructure needed- it’s a lot more work than you ever realise! Cheers guys!
Our PTA parent Jess for sorting our risk assessments, and Natalia our treasurer for covering all the money!
All the BPA senior leadership team and staff- always showing up and going above and beyond ❤️
Our core PTA Team- Amy, Sarah, Chloe, Natalia, Jules, Jess, Chantelle, April & Alex who made the event happen, from organising, tickets sales, web management, communications, marketing, design, map making, stock buying, popcorn packing, hot dogs testing, electrics calculating, logistics tracking & serving!! (Along with our extra volunteers Jo, Jane, Jill, Monika, Rowan and any others who came to our aid when we needed you- thank you so much!)
I hope I didn’t forget anyone!
We had a blast!
