Rainbow Roots Childminding

Busy days yesterday prepping all our yummy snacks for our little rainbow rooters 💕
Fruit leathers, hummus, roasted chickpeas, pesto, flapjacks and of course putting our yummy chickens eggs to good use with a garlic chive and le Gruyère quiche 😋 xx

It’s been a little while since we’ve posted our adventures here at Rainbow Roots - Summer time fun 😊

A week full of creativity, we used our beautiful apples from the garden to make our apple roses, picked the plums from the garden for snacks 😊 and created art using paint and a tripod 🎨 🤩

Such a fantastic week back, seeing all our little Rainbow Rooters and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. We’ve been busy picking all the beautiful fruit we’ve grown, exploring colour and texture with ice, sand and water. Creating a jungle bridge across the flower beds, practicing our letter formations using sand and chalk, mixing and making potions and splashing about in the pool 😃 🌞 ❤️

Our little chicks are growing up! We took them out to explore in the garden and they loved it 😍 what a fantastic journey we’ve been on being able to learn how they grow and develop ❤️

Farm adventures - it felt great to get out to Grimsbury farm last week seeing all the lovely animals, we watched the baby lambs being fed, got covered in mud by the pigs! 😂 Played in the park and enjoyed ice cream under the apple trees 😃 ❤️

After the excitement of our first little chick yesterday, we had a lovely surprise this morning with another beautiful baby chick arriving 😊
Our little rainbow rooters have really enjoyed getting to know our new additions, with lots of cuddles, the chicks fell asleep in our hands and even our tiniest rainbow rooter had a cuddle ❤️ 🐣 ❤️

Let’s go fly a kite!
We finally got out this week to fly our new kite, what a fantastic experience for everyone, even our littlest rainbow rooter got to have a go! 😃 🪁

This week we finished getting the chicks new house ready for their imminent arrival and took a trip to the farm shop to pick up supplies for them ❤️ everyone is very excited 😃 xx

12 days until our chicks arrive! & we’ve been busy learning about how they grow from an embryo to a chicken, today our chicks beaks began to open! ❤️ we’ve been busy reading books and creating our own beautiful chicks to go on the wall by the incubator 🐥 # # #

The excitement this morning in the Rainbow Roots house was wonderful! The children were so excited to put our chicken and duck eggs in the incubator we learnt lots of interesting facts and are very excited to welcome our little chicks 🐣 and ducklings in the next 28days! ❤️
