Next year we have the opportunity for not one, but two major performances, at St. George's and at the Bristol Beacon! We are planning to run the choir from Sept-March, on Thursdays 5-6pm. We are currently looking for an expression of interest, to see if this is feasible for us. Please email [email protected], or comment here, if you would be interested in this for your children. Thank you!

We’d love to introduce Doug Watts! One of the people who makes the Lord Mayor of Bristol's Annual Children Appeal Carol Concert so special.
Doug Watts is the Musical Director of Bristol Show Choir, who perform each year alongside Blackbird Early Years Music Children’s Choir, led by the wonderful Helen Reid. Both choirs generously donate their time and talent to support the event, filling the beautiful St George’s Bristol with festive music and community spirit.
We asked Doug why the Carol Concert is close to his heart...
“We at Bristol Show Choir and Blackbird Children's Choir are so proud to support the Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children Appeal. It’s such an important charity for the city, helping young people right here in our own community. The Christmas Carol Concert at St George’s is always a highlight of the year. The atmosphere is magical, the acoustics are second to none, and for many of our youngest singers (some as young as four!) it’s their very first chance to perform on a stage like this. Seeing their joy while knowing the event is raising money for such a vital local cause makes it a truly special evening for everyone involved. As one of the largest and most active community choirs in the city, being part of something that brings people together for such a good cause feels incredibly special."
For more than a century, the Appeal has supported disadvantaged children and young people across Bristol, providing vouchers for food, clothing and gifts so no child is left out at Christmas. By joining us at the Carol Concert on the 3rd December, 7pm, you’ll help make that magic happen.
