This winter, we have an array of fun planned, including glitter slime making, ice and snow experiments, visits to Redland Park, winter walks, team games, and a variety of arts and crafts.

With all the rain recently☔️… It’s been lovely to look back at some of our Summer highlights celebrating the Paris 2024 Olympics☀️.

On Friday the sun was shining for our trip to Windmill Hill City Farm. We saw all the animals, played in the adventure park, completed the Stick Man trail and had a lovely picnic in the woods! 🌳🪵☀️

Our holiday club programme - SUMMER OLYMPICS is in full swing and we are so excited. Today we created batons using paint, coloured paper, pens, bottle tops and pipe cleaners to name a few! All ready for our very own relay race, great team work everyone!! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

What a brilliant three weeks we’ve had at Torwood Holiday Club focusing on Animal Easter 🐒🦆🐠🐯

We have had a blast participating in fantastic activities and excursions focusing on our three themed weeks; under water 🐠 rainforest 🌳 and safari 🐆

February half-term Life-skills week has been a great educational achievement. The children have gained knowledge on water safety, fire emergency procedures, First-Aid practices, online safety, and road crossing safety. We are extremely proud of the children for their quick learning progress.

A special thanks to Emily and Firefighter Greg for their excellent workshop, where we learned about the significance of stop, drop, and roll, and how to contact 999 for the fire brigade. 🚒

Congratulations to everyone involved in making this week so successful!👏🏽👏🏻

This week at After School Club we’ve been celebrating children’s mental health week. The children have enjoyed choosing their own smoothie🍓making blue and yellow play dough 💙💛 creating a painting for somebody we love 💕 magazine chill time 📰 And a musical picnic to finish 🎶

This year the focus was for children to know and believe, all over the world - “my voice matters”. We opened up discussions about the importance of being heard and what children’s mental health is. It was great to see the children relaxing and talking with their friends after a long day at school.

FROSTY FUN DECEMBER HIGHLIGHTS ☃️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our December holiday club running from 11/12/2023-22/12/2023. The children enjoyed a variety of activities such as, song writing, ice experiments, den building, trips to Free dog, the cinema and Woodhouse Park activity centre.

We look forward to seeing you all in February!!

This year, for Remembrance Day, the children created poppies out of Lego! We had open discussion’s about Remembrance Day and the importance of poppies and why we had 2 minutes silence on Sunday.

Some KS2 children spoke about WW1 and WW2 and what they have learnt in ‘Topic class’ at school.

It was lovely to see the children creating poppies and having open conversations as a group.
