Heatwave preparation at Hartcliffe Nursery School! ☀️ With warm weather expected next week, please remember to send your child with a named sun hat, water bottle, cool lightweight clothing, and suncream (factor 50) applied before arrival. Families of Hartcliffe Nursery School, you're invited to our End of Year Family Picnic! 🧺🍦 Beginning of the week children join us on Monday 20th July, and end of the week children on Friday 17th July, both 12pm to 1.30pm. Please bring your own picnic as there will be no hot or packed lunches provided, but we will have ice pops, an ice cream stand and candy floss! Tombola, games and music! Dear Families,

Thank you for bearing with us in this hot weather with nursery closing. It was a tough decision to make as we want to be here for you and your child but needed to stay safe.

We have missed you all and appreciate how hard this hot weather is for us all!

We have made the decision to open tomorrow (Friday) from 8.30am-11.30am.

We will have a reduced staff team though as some of our practitioners will be home with their children as some schools in Hartcliffe remain closed.

This particularly impacts Beech Room, so if you are ok for one more day, please consider staying home.

We will have an adapted morning – calm activities, in the forest in the shade, water sprinklers and ice pops!

Starting on Friday 19th June 2026, come along to South Bristol Family Hub Hartcliffe (BS13 0JW) to join a free summer crafts course.

We will decorate plates and planters, make candles, create rag wreaths and much more!

The course starts at 9.15am and finishes at 11.15am.
