Totterdown Children’s Community Workshop

Totterdown Children’s Community Workshop Totterdown Children’s Community Workshop provides great quality childcare in a safe and stimulating environment.

Children have access to a range of play experiences including playing in the local park, craft room, book corner, group games and trips. We run two clubs; After School Club which picks up children attending Hillcrest Primary School, (Cemetery Road, BS4 3DE), at 3.30-6.00pm and Holiday Club which is open to all and runs every holiday from 8.30am to 6.00pm. We run out of the Holy Nativity Church on the Wells Road. All our staff are fully qualified and DBS checked and we are OFSTED registered. The wellbeing and safety of your child is a top priority, but we also aim to provide a happy, fun out-of-school experience for them.

🌸 April Holiday Club Highlights – Creative Makers & Mini Explorers 🌸

We’ve had a fantastic time at our April Holiday Club, where children enjoyed a wide range of spring-themed activities designed to support learning through play.

Our flower shop role play area was a big hit, with children using their imagination to create bouquets, take orders, and work together, supporting their communication skills and personal, social development

Children explored their creativity through ceramic tile painting and spring wreath making, developing fine motor skills and expressive arts

Our mini explorers and discovery activities encouraged curiosity, investigation, and lots of great questions, helping children build confidence in their understanding of the world

We also introduced an interactive “match the verb” display, which supported language development, early literacy, and thinking skills in a fun and engaging way

The children especially enjoyed making their own Shredded Wheat nests, supporting independence, coordination, and following instructions (and of course, enjoying a tasty treat!)

Throughout the week, children showed fantastic levels of engagement, creativity, and teamwork, demonstrating the characteristics of effective learning as they explored, created, and discovered together.

We are so proud of all our children and the enthusiasm they have shown! 🌟
