π To mark Volunteersβ Week, we're taking a moment to shine a light on the legendary unsung helpers who keep our kitchen in check!
We are extremely thankful (and lucky) to be supported by such a compassionate, fun and dedicated community of kitchen assistants, generously donating their time every week π₯°
From setting up and packing down our cookery classes, to prepping recipe kits, to watering our kitchen garden, to making all our learners feel so welcome β our volunteers truly are the backbone of Square Food Foundation.
Last year:
π 52 volunteers supported us in the kitchen
π Donating 2,900 hours of their time
Thank you, we couldnβt do anything with you πππ

π«΅Could you help inspire our young chefs?
Many of our students have Dyslexia, and many of our staff do too! Weβre very proud of this and are passionate about showcasing how having dyslexia doesnβt have to be a barrier to a successful cooking career.Β π«
Weβre looking for professional chefs who have high levels of Dyslexia to join us for a special workshop with young people who are all Dyslexic. Weβd love for you to share your personal journey into the world of food, offering insight and encouragement, showing them what is possible.π¨βπ³
As part of the workshop, weβd also invite you to lead a hands-on cooking session, giving our students the chance to learn from you directly and build their confidence in the kitchen.
