Thank you Feast On and James Haggart for another mega weekend of celebrating Bristol's incomparable food scene 🫶

We feel very lucky and grateful to have been part of this festival for the past 2 years - giving us the platform to shout about the importance of food education and it's power to change lives!

Over 4 days we:
🌮 Hosted 20 cookery classes in fresh pasta and homemade tacos. Huge thanks to guest chefs Ben Harvey Alexis John and Josh Eggleton for sharing your wisdom.

🍕Welcomed 72 young chefs for kid's pizza making. A massive thank you to the Rova Foundation team at Pizzarova | Handmade Sourdough Pizza for donating dough, sauce and a beautiful new Gozney | Outdoor Pizza Ovens oven!!!

👏 Big shout out to our Square Food Catering & Events for not only blessing the festival with their delicious fresh agnolotti, arancini and eton mess...BUT ALSO feeding the entire festival staff and crew - that's 474 daily meals for 14 solid days! 🔥

We're so proud to be part of such a generous food community in Bristol. It's honestly only by coming together and having fun that we can sustain the momentum to keep up the hard work the rest of the year! 💪

But there is much more to this than a Square Food Foundation glow up... After 15 years of delivering high quality food education, we are renewing our commitment to tackling food insecurity. With a bigger team and with better tools in place, we can confidently share the impact of our work, and better advocate for lasting change.

🙏 A massive thanks to the many people who supported us through the re-brand process, ensuring our fresh new look is welcoming and accessible for the diverse communities we serve.

🙌 To mark Volunteers’ Week, we're taking a moment to shine a light on the legendary unsung helpers who keep our kitchen in check!

We are extremely thankful (and lucky) to be supported by such a compassionate, fun and dedicated community of kitchen assistants, generously donating their time every week 🥰

From setting up and packing down our cookery classes, to prepping recipe kits, to watering our kitchen garden, to making all our learners feel so welcome – our volunteers truly are the backbone of Square Food Foundation.

Last year:
💛 52 volunteers supported us in the kitchen
💛 Donating 2,900 hours of their time
