✨ Spotlight on Chippenham Mission Area launched with special service and river blessing ✨

Three Anglican parishes in Chippenham have come together to form a new Mission Area, sharing ideas and resources and supporting one another as they serve their communities. There’ll be a particular focus on helping children, young people and families feel welcomed and involved in church life.

The new partnership was celebrated with a special service led by the Rt Revd Neil Warwick, including a blessing of the River Avon and the signing of a covenant, marking an exciting new chapter for the churches and their communities.

The Sanctum Spiritual Direction Formation & Training Course is launching in January 2027, offering a rich, ecumenical learning journey for both lay and ordained Christians who feel called to accompany others in their spiritual lives.

Through online evening sessions, in-person formation days, reflective practice, prayer, theological learning, and supervised skills development, Sanctum will help you explore and discern a vocation in spiritual direction.

Applications for Sanctum will be closing on Friday 23rd October 2026.

✨ Spotlight on Hazelnut Network supporting mission, discipleship, and new Christian communities ✨

The Hazelnut Network is helping churches explore how creation care can become part of discipleship and mission, using outdoor spaces to grow food, worship, share meals and build relationships with their communities.

Launched from Hazelnut Community Farm in Bristol, the network now brings together around 50 churches and communities, providing practical resources, training and a space to learn from others.

✨ Spotlight on 'I kept seeing clips of The Chosen. I bought a Bible and discovered Jesus'✨

For most of his adult life, Scott Gough described himself as an atheist. A project manager, husband and father of six, he trusted science, valued evidence, and was convinced that faith and reason could not coexist.

What followed was not a dramatic turning point, but a gradual journey sparked by clips from The Chosen, reading the Bible, and exploring the evidence for Christianity. Today, Scott is a member of St Philip's, Upper Stratton, has been baptised alongside his wife Chrissie, and has written a book, The Unexpected Path to Faith, sharing his story.
