Welcome to the official page of King's Oak Academy The school was founded in 1921 as Kingswood Grammar School.

From the start it was a mixed school catering for students up to the age of 18 years. In the 1960s it had around 850 boys and girls with 250 in the Sixth Form. The school became a comprehensive in 1967 when it changed its name to Kingsfield School. Kingsfield was awarded specialist status in mathematics and computing in September 2006. Please see offer below from Kingswood Friends of Kingswood Park - a free session, children aged 7-13, for those interested in all things nature! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿชฑ๐Ÿ€๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒบ

There are still some spaces left on the weekly Explorer Club sessions in the park. These are free, nature-based sessions run by Mud Pie Explorers, with activities led by the interests of the group but including nature art, den-building, team games, tree safaris and much more! Sessions run on Thursday afternoons after school and are open to 7-13 year olds.

For those students joining us in Year 7 (both internal and external) we are hosting 3 days of summer school. There will be a range of activities on offer from sport to music to art to cooking. ๐Ÿช—๐Ÿ–Œโšฝ

This is an excellent opportunity for your child to get to know some of their teachers ahead of September, make new friends and familiarise themselves in their new environment.
