Spring has sprung although it’s still a wee bit nippy, tis a beautiful day and I’m all set up ☀️ locals come say hello, I’m on the bridge nestled among many hand made treasures. I hope everyone get to enjoy some sunshine today.

I’m busy sewing these super luxurious hot water bottle covers in my studio. They are made with my jacquard woven silk (these are my designs woven exclusively at a Lancashire mill) on the front and repurposed velvet on the back. I will upload them onto my website but please get in touch for preorders, they make a perfect Christmas gift (dare I say the C word yet) ❄️

I’ve been busy making stock for Christmas showcase gallery in Devon. I have a selection of work available from limited edition prints to Jacquard woven hot water bottle covers, cushions and weaving loom kits. There are lots of beautiful handmade gifts available from a variety of selected craft makers. It’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I love these images captured by the budding photographer Libby visited my studio and took some beautiful detailed close up shots. These capture the texture of the wool and natural dyed shades perfectly. There is a variety of wool available in my website as well as natural dye workshops and there will be new dates coming up.

I adore these images captured by photography student and budding artist at Yeovil College. I was invited to talk to the students about my practice last term and I had two students come to my studio to document my work and practice. Thank you 💓

An absolutely stunning start to my day this morning. I went across the estate in the beautiful for a swim before I started work. The perfect start to the day ☀️

I have uploaded my back strap weaving workshop onto my website. An introduction to backstrap weaving using natural fibres. The workshop will be held in my studio in Shepton Mallet from 10am-4pm on Sunday 10th November. Each participant will go home with their own laser cut backstrap loom to continue with their project, materials included. Outcomes for what you might make include coasters, wall hangings, pendants, cuffs and bookmarks. Check out my website for more info 💓

Tidy studio, tidy mind…. It’s been absolute chaos trying to juggle the studio during the summer holidays with childcare, work and building a cabin on our land. I’ve barely managed to keep afloat and I’m feeling ready to get back into the creative realm now that term starts tomorrow. I’ve had a big tidy in preparation for starting new work, I’ll always be juggling lots of balls with having a little one and while we build our home it’s going to be chaos but I’m super excited to move in during Autumn and be able to make more space for my studio practice. I have lots of exciting things in the pipeline, new work, workshops, wool and more, sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date….
