As we reach the end of the year, we’re so proud of everything our children have achieved. From messy play and outdoor adventures to story time, creative crafts, and new friendships, every day has been filled with smiles, curiosity, and confidence-building moments. 💛

I think you’ll agree that the staff have been incredible this year supporting your children and ensuring each child reaches their potential with a smile on their face. Thank you to all of their hard work, energy and brilliant ideas.

Tortoise time
🐢 A very special visitor came to preschool today!
One of our wonderful grandpas brought in his five friendly tortoises for the children to meet, and what an unforgettable experience it was!
Our curious learners had the chance to:
🌼 Feed the tortoises fresh dandelion leaves
🪥 Gently wash their shells with toothbrushes
📚 Enjoy a story all about tortoises
🤲 Carefully handle and observe them up close

These hands-on experiences spark curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting memories. There’s nothing quite like seeing children’s faces light up as they build the confidence to pick up a tortoise.

At Magic Dragon, we love creating meaningful opportunities that bring nature to life and encourage children to explore, ask questions, and learn through real experiences.

Our preschool children had a fantastic tennis session with Alanna from Elly Shearman Coaching, developing their coordination, balance, listening skills, and teamwork through a fun, engaging session. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and confidence grow with every game! 🎾

WE TRAVELLED TO BRAZIL
Thank you to Caterina who shared her knowledge and experiences of Brazil with the children. They learned about Brazilian culture, traditions, and the significance of indigenous feather headdresses.

Everyone enjoyed the ‘Wee Granny’ story that Hamish read us this morning. He brought in his highland cow, showed us his tartan and caught to Scottish dance.

FUN WAYS TO MEASURE
The children drew then measured dinosaur footprints.

How big? They used tape measures, camels, their feet/hands and each other to measure and compare how big they were.

Great mathematical language was used today, great understanding, new concepts learnt and lots of fun and excitement was had.
Well done Bluebirds. 👏🏻
