Tonight is our AGM!

It’s taking place on zoom at 7pm.

https://us05web.zoom.us/j/82208236556?pwd=1fqN5ScKS9Vu3Y5oPflBogIkuIv7Zf.1

Please attend if you are able to as all three mandatory positions (Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) will be vacant. If these roles are not filled the Friends will have to fold.
This will mean a lot of our annual events will not longer take place and subsidised trips, equipment and many other things will stop.

If you have any questions about any of these roles please email us on [email protected]

I hope to see as many parents this evening as possible.

Come along to our AGM on Monday 3rd November at 7pm on zoom.
All three committee roles will be vacant after this date. These roles need to be filled in order for the Friends to continue fundraising for your child’s school and running the events our children love so much.
Please contact us on [email protected] if you have any questions or would like more info about the roles.
I hope so see as many of you as possible at the meeting.

Short story competition 09/04/2025

I hope your short story writing is going well!

I found this competition which runs from 17th- 25th April that your children could enter.
Its theme is different to the ones I set and the word limit is shorter but I encourage anyone who fancies having a go to go for it!

Chldren's Writing Prompts 29/03/2025

At the beginning of March I went into school to launch our KS2 short story competition.

The deadline is just under a month away but I wanted to share some links and templates your child might find useful to get started (we all know this is the hardest part!)

This is a useful first line generator which can help start things off

https://writingexercises.co.uk/children/first-line-for-a-story.php

Reading eggs have a great page on the stages of a story -

https://readingeggs.co.uk/articles/story-writing-for-kids/

I’ve also added a story board in the comments which can help structure your child’s story.

I hope this all helps and remember it’s supposed to be fun so your child can choose whatever format they wish for their short story ā˜ŗļø

I’ll be posting regularly with resources which might help between now and the closing date of 25th April.
