🧪 How do scientists study things that are too dangerous, too expensive or simply impossible to investigate directly?
That’s what our young people explored this morning with Ben at sciencecreates.outreach
The session focused on scientific modelling, from simulating the spread of disease to investigating probability, electrical resistance, gas behaviour and even natural selection using interactive computer simulations.
Along the way, they discovered that models help scientists describe, explain and predict the world around us. They also learned that every model has its limitations, which is why real-world experiments still matter.
It was fantastic to see everyone asking thoughtful questions, testing ideas, working together, and having fun.
