Sitting, waiting for somebody to arrive. Always an opportunity for a little light scribbling and to ponder the small scene unfolding. Fellow drinkers at the close of the day, quiet and slightly spent.

Another page from one of the sketchbooks made with a great little life drawing class in Bedminster Bristol in a spare room of a chapel back in 2019. One of those "key under the mat" mildly derelict one up from a squat set ups that we all know and love. Simply add a slightly dicky kettle, a packet of digestives and an overwhelmed fan heater and you've got yourselves a party. Wolffs carbon pencil

A winter stroll along the severn estuary. A chance to briefly visit St andrew's church to view the Norman arch and witness a local fisherman haul out a blonde ray. Seems a world away from the chip eating, dog walking and wild swimming crowd cheerily promenading with mild hangover and slight heartburn

A very atmospheric evening , most visitors having wandered back up the hill and onward to home. The old place took on a slightly brooding "hound of the baskervilles" quality. I gave a wide birth to a Yorkshire terrier emerging from the thicket by the walked garden, just in case

Cold. That's what is was. Out and about doing a sketching demo with the Urban sketching course recently and looking at all things Bristol byzantine. Always much mirth and general good cheer with these hardy perennials. Roving hither and thither and digesting and anecdote or two for good measure. All wrapped up with a hot chocolate back at the ever welcoming
