Aimed at girls aged 11-14, with a focus on unplugging from devices, enjoying outdoor adventures / games, getting creative, self growth, community engagement and workshops on the digital world.

A key part of the programme is play lots of games and have as much fun as possible!
Throughout the week, we played team building games, competitive games, sports games, card games, individual games as well as silly games, just for fun’s sake!

PROJECT UNPLUGGED 2022: CREATING!
🍪 From biscuits to nature crowns, bird feeders to positivity rocks and origami boats, we’ve been busy creating and making all kinds of things!
🎨 We’ve also been taking part in therapeutic art activities designed to help express ourselves and enhance our wellbeing.
🧶 One of the highlights from the week was meeting with residents from a local retirement village who taught us the basics of knitting!

PROJECT UNPLUGGED 2022: THE GREAT OUTDOORS! 🌻 🍃 ☀️ 🌳
Being outside is a fundamental part of the programme and this year, nature’s playground provided us some beautiful experiences!
We hiked in the woods, splashed about in rivers, climbed trees and even hung out with some horses!

For this year’s intergenerational session, we’re teaming up with Stoke Gifford Retirement Village whereby residents will be teaching the girls the basics of knitting! 🧶
The residents are excited to get to know this year’s participants and pass on their creative skills.
We’ve seen before how wonderful intergenerational sessions are and this year promises to be no different!

🧘♀️We’re delighted to be offering a ‘Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi’ session to participants this year!
🧘♂️ Described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi is a series of energy enhancing exercises that coordinate movement with breathing and concentration. It’s gentle and deeply relaxing nature is known to bring about calmness, flexibility and strength.
🧘 We cannot wait for qualified instructor Jenny to guide us through a session!
