Hotwells Primary School

What a fantastic day we had at Tyntesfield with our whole school family! 🌿🏡

From exploring the beautiful gardens and woodland trails to discovering the history of the house, the children showed so much curiosity, kindness and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying being together, supporting one another and making special memories.

A huge thank you to for having us, and to the staff, volunteers and helpers who made the trip possible. Small but Mighty in action!

Order in Court! ⚖️👏

Last week, Year 5 took part in a fantastic mock trial experience at Bristol Civic and Family Justice Centre. Although the defence team worked hard to support the defendant, the prosecution’s witnesses presented some very convincing evidence! In the end, the judge had the final say… 👨‍⚖️

We are so proud of the maturity, enthusiasm and professionalism shown by every pupil involved. A future full of barristers, judges and public speakers, perhaps? 🌟

After “dancing the sun up” on Brandon Hill, a group of Morris dancers brought the celebration to Hotwells with a lively performance for the whole school.

Reception and Year 1 then stepped up for their own workshop and didn’t miss a beat!

Earlier this term, our Reception class went on a fantastic trip to the 🐠✨

The children loved exploring the different marine habitats, spotting all sorts of fascinating sea creatures and learning more about life under the sea. A fab day full of curiosity, excitement and discovery!

Science Week continues at Hotwells Primary… and it’s full steam ahead! ⛵️

Earlier this week, we designed and built sailboats, then tested them to see whose boat could whizz across the water the fastest. Safe to say there were some very serious young boat engineers in the making!

Whilst we are a day late for International Women's Day, we just wanted to take a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible women of Hotwells Primary School.

From the classroom to the playground, the office to the lunch hall, their dedication, care, patience and hard work help make our school such a special place for children and families every single day.

Each and every one of them is brilliant, and we are so grateful to have them as part of the Hotwells Primary community. 💜

It’s Science Week at Hotwells and it’s already creating quite the buzz! 🐝

Today Beekeeper Garry visited to teach us all about honey bees and the wonderful world of insects. We tasted honey, tried on beekeeper suits and made our own wax candles. What a truly sweet start to the week! 🍯🕯️🐞

We love reading every day at Hotwells… but on World Book Day the stories quite literally came to life! From classic characters to modern favourites, our school was full of bookish magic as we celebrated the joy of reading. 📖✨

This week, we were treated to an incredible whole-school assembly from !

The energy was electric, the music was awesome and our Hotwells pupils were absolutely buzzing!
A huge thanks to the iRock team for showing us how much fun learning an instrument can be. 🥁🎸🎹
