Our incredible cast brought our Key Stage 2 production of Oliver! to life with outstanding performances full of energy, confidence, humour and heart. From the opening scene to the spectacular finale, every child shone on stage and made us immensely proud.

Productions like this take a huge team effort and we are so grateful to our amazing staff, volunteers and families who gave up countless hours behind the scenes to make the magic happen. Your support made all the difference.

Here are a selection of moments from the show. There were far too many wonderful photos to choose from!

Well done to every single child involved. You truly showed what it means to be Small but Mighty. 🌟

This week, we had a fantastic Key Stage 2 Sports Day, where our children gave every activity their very best. It was wonderful to see determination, resilience and enthusiasm shining through all afternoon.

What made the day even more special was the incredible team spirit. Whether competing, cheering from the sidelines or celebrating each other’s successes, our pupils showed exactly what it means to be part of the Hotwells community. Their encouragement, kindness and sportsmanship made us incredibly proud.

A huge thank you to all of our pupils, staff and the families who came along to support and help make it such a brilliant afternoon. 🏅💙

Earlier this week, our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children enjoyed a brilliant day at Sand Bay. 🏖️

From building sandcastles and digging in the sand to splashing in the water and hunting for shells, the children had a wonderful time exploring and playing together. An ice cream before heading home was the perfect way to end the trip! 🍦🐚

It was lovely to see so much curiosity, creativity and teamwork throughout the day. We may have returned a little sandy and soggy, but we also came back with lots of happy memories!

With glorious sunshine overhead, our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable day full of adventure, challenge and fun at Ashton Court Tree Tops earlier this week. From climbing, balancing and swinging high among the trees, they showed incredible courage as they took on the high ropes course.

We were so proud of the way the children encouraged one another throughout the day, celebrated each other’s successes and stepped outside their comfort zones with determination and resilience. Their positive attitudes, teamwork and perseverance were a real credit to Hotwells Primary School.

Well done, Year 3 and Year 4!

At Hotwells Primary School, we are proud to be a welcoming, inclusive and diverse school community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to thrive.

Although we are based in the heart of Hotwells, our children come from across Bristol and families choose our school for our strong sense of community, nurturing approach and commitment to helping every child succeed.

As a Small but Mighty school, we offer a nurturing environment, strong relationships and a genuine sense of belonging. Children benefit from a broad and ambitious curriculum, excellent outdoor spaces and a wide range of enriching experiences.

We would love to welcome you for a visit and show you what makes Hotwells such a special place to learn and grow.

✨🎨 Last week, our budding little artists got stuck into Art Week with paint, pencils, creativity and plenty of imagination. The school was buzzing with colour, laughter and some truly fantastic artwork as children explored new techniques and let their creativity shine.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers who shared their time, talents and enthusiasm throughout the week. You helped make it such a special experience for the children, and we are incredibly grateful!

It was a brilliant way to kick off the new term, with our values of Creativity and Ambition shining through in every masterpiece, sketch and splash of paint. 🎨✨

Order in Court! ⚖️👏

Last week, Year 5 took part in a fantastic mock trial experience at Bristol Civic and Family Justice Centre. Although the defence team worked hard to support the defendant, the prosecution’s witnesses presented some very convincing evidence! In the end, the judge had the final say… 👨‍⚖️

We are so proud of the maturity, enthusiasm and professionalism shown by every pupil involved. A future full of barristers, judges and public speakers, perhaps? 🌟
