Developing confidence, skills and career ideas 🛠️

Through training with Partners in Bristol, young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) with Post-16 Support have the opportunity to explore construction, learn practical skills and build confidence as they think about their next steps.

🧱 Muku is interested in bricklaying and says his time with Partners in Bristol helped build his confidence while giving him the opportunity to learn lots of new things.

🔧 Elisha explored electrical engineering, gaining an insight into construction careers and developing useful basic DIY skills. They also highlighted the support and positive experience they received from the team.

From developing practical skills to discovering different career routes, it’s great to see young people getting involved, building confidence and making the most of the opportunities available to them. 👏

Young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) with Post-16 Support have been getting hands-on with construction through training with Partners in Bristol, developing practical skills and discovering more about the opportunities available in the industry.

Meet Abdulahi and Hamza, who are both exploring careers in construction:

🧱 Abdulahi wants to pursue a career in bricklaying. His time with Partners in Bristol has helped him feel more motivated and focused on his future in construction.

⚡ Hamza is considering a career as an electrician or plasterer. He particularly enjoyed learning about health and safety and gaining useful information to help him decide on his future career.

It’s fantastic to see young people building confidence, exploring their options and taking positive steps towards their futures. 👏

We’re working on a new space that will soon help us expand our practical training offer, including construction skills and forklift training.

It’s still under construction, but we’re already looking forward to seeing the space come to life and welcoming learners through the doors. 👀
