In the run up to the 2 year anniversary of the very first episode of The InDependent Spouse, I want to share with you some of my favourite episodes.

This one is very special, not just because Louise is a wealth of knowledge about business, but also because we had planned an EPIC event with Hidden Valley Bushcraft just days before lockdown was announced. However, that will not stop us, and if anything the pause will just allow us to create something even more wonderful.

Hidden Valley Bushcraft has gone from a small idea, and has grown organically to what it is today – an award-winning company.

Louise and her husband Nick run the company out of passion and a little bit of necessity. Ex-marine Nick has complex PTSD and uses the woodland for his own mental health, as well as encouraging Veterans to join him with the Warrior Programme, now supported by the Endeavour Fund and the Duke of Sussex (who I have heard is a big fan). This episode is a great look at how honest and difficult running a business can be. From how years of work goes into making it a success that you now see.

I hope you enjoy this episode with the lovely Louise.

Massive thank you to our neighbours, the award winning for cutting our field.

Finn enjoyed sitting in the tractor afterwards too!

(Actually it was me who enjoyed it!)

This is the Viaduct that our children walk under every day.

We have made many joyous echoes under this bridge. It’s great to see it like this! 💫
