Raven and Toucan Class had a very successful 2 days at Forest School last week. They made dens, shops, take-aways, beauty parlours, obstacle courses and swings. They worked together, were responsible, showed resilience and had the best time with so many smiles and an awful lot of laughter!
A massive thank you to all the parents that came with us all week - it meant the children had so much support and encouragement, we couldn’t have done it without you.

🚨📢 Year 6 Update:

Our last full day and it’s been great. A morning full of activities including the muddy stream walk and some of the high and low rope courses.

Then, we had an afternoon spent hiking in the Quantock Hills. We even got to spot some free roaming horses and deer.🐎🦌

The children have been great and are now enjoying some cake for snack. Dinner and then disco night tonight. We can’t wait to see Mr Telfer’s moves! 🕺🪩

🚨📢 Year 6 Update:

You'll be glad to hear, the children had a great night sleep last night. 💤🥱

We’ve had a morning full of fun activities such as the stream walk and climbing. We have now all walked to the beach to spend some time in the rock pools and hunting for fossils.🌞 We will be stoping at the ice cream shop on the way back up. 🍦

Ready for the campfire later! 🏕️🌲

BOOK FAIR REMINDER:

We can’t wait to welcome you and your children to the fair and to share in the excitement of discovering new stories together. Thank you in advance for your support in helping us make this year’s book fair another fantastic success!
Please come along to the school hall from 3.30pm-4.15pm on your child’s designated day and check out all of the lovely books and resources that we have available for you to buy.

Year 3 & Year 4 - Friday 25th September
Year 1 & Year 2 - Monday 28th September
Reception - Tuesday 29th September
Year 5 & Year 6 - Wednesday 30th September

Nursery families are welcome to pop along on any of the above dates.

Please be aware this is a cashless event.

All payments will be taken using a QR code or using the Zettle App.
If you are unable to attend the bookfair on the Year group allocated day then please come along on a different day that suits you. This timetable is only a guide.

A great first day. Lots of fun group activities including rock climbing, abseiling, archery and high ropes. Having waffles and ice cream before our night maze!

Year 5 were at one with nature this afternoon for their Art lesson.

The artist that they're studying this term is Andy Goldsworthy, who creates environmental sculptures. 🌱🪵🌲

The children were inspired by his use of leaves, twigs and stones in his sculptures, and spent the afternoon producing their own sculptures inspired by his work.

All across the field you could hear the children shouting 'I have found the PERFECT twig!' or 'This leaf is the exact shade of orange I need!' 🌞
