🌞 Having had a wonderful heatwave in half term, of course, the weather took a turn for the worse when all of Year 5 were due to head down to the Forest in Term 6, Week 1! 🌧️

Luckily, the children’s resilience meant that they were still able to enjoy a fantastic few days with natural bookmark making, whittling, den building and , most importantly, food cooked on the campfire. To try something new, we had ‘fajitas’ but back by popular demand were ‘campfire donuts’. 🏕️🍩

Get ready to get cosy! Our Year 6 designers have been busy transforming the classroom into a textile studio for their latest Design and Technology unit, "Funky Furnishings." 🧵✨
The children each designed their cushion, picked and cut the fabric they wanted and all have sewn a cushion cover that has been filled. Year 6 were absolutely thrilled with their finished products!

After checking and triple-checking, we can officially confirm that 19 Baileys Court students are taking their LAMDA exams across this weekend! 🎭✨

Whether it’s their first LAMDA exam 2nd or even 3rd, stepping into that room and performing takes confidence and determination, and they’ve already achieved so much just by getting to this point!

From everyone at Bailey’s Court, we’re wishing you all the very best of luck. Go and show the examiners what you can do, enjoy the experience, and be proud of yourselves. We certainly are!

Year 2 had a fabulous afternoon joining a live UK session with Rob Biddulph — the author and creator of the much‑loved YouTube channel Draw with Rob. The children were captivated as they learnt how he became an author and what inspires the wonderful characters in his books. They then followed along as he drew a brand‑new character, creating their own brilliant versions. Such a joyful, creative experience for everyone!

Reception had a wonderful day at Court Farm, where they enjoyed meeting a variety of animals and learning about life on the farm. Highlights of the trip included watching a cow being milked, bottle-feeding the lambs, taking a bumpy tractor ride, and having lots of fun exploring and playing in the different parks.

Bailey Bird Nursery (opening September 2026) have once again flown into Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre!

Wow! What an achievement! After many days of pure effort, resilience and team work, Year 1 made it to the top of Mount Everest! It took the whole of Term 5 to reach the summit and we are very proud of all of the children!
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored our magnificent achievement! The view at the top was absolutely spectacular and we even managed to raise the Bailey’s Court flag!
