Last term, Anchor children were busy creating some planters for their outdoor area! They used old pallets and power tools and followed instructions to create these sturdy pieces of equipment. The staff were very impressed with the children's listening skills and teamwork. Well done, Anchor!

Photos here from Year 6 Leavers Lunch, which they had outside this year; the children chose burger and chips and we changed the menu for the whole school, which was very popular! Year 6, we really hope the end to your time at Waycroft was a good one and that you are enjoying the start of the holidays,

Congratulations to all the children who were awarded end-of-term certificates or trophies in assembly today. Included is a photo of the Fry and Brunel House Captains happily holding the House Trophy for this term as this was a 'tie'. Also, there are photos of school Councillors from Matthew, Britannia and QE2 with the reading star trophies. Controversy continues between QE2 and Britannia due to both classes almost filling their charts completely and the children questioning how these are judged, which is all good learning! 😂

We would like to say a big thank you to our Kitchen Staff for making delicious hotdogs and proving ice lollies for the children - it's clear to see how much they enjoyed it!

To all our parents/carers of children with SEND, please try and join our SENCO and Bristol Parent Carers for our coffee morning this week. Feedback from those who have attended this year has been really positive.

What an exciting maths lesson our Anchor class had yesterday morning! The children had been focusing on 'time' so to finish their learning this week they had to shoot the given times with water pistols! A great opportunity to reinforce their knowledge and cool off at the same time!

It was too hot for us all to be in the hall for assembly yesterday so Mr Smith presented certificates to children in their classrooms. Well done everyone!

Final morning on Simonsbath Camp, the children played a variety of parachute games, packed up their rooms and found their seats on the coach in record time! Year 6 are all looking forward to seeing their grown ups and have shown every school value this week. Well done Year 6! 🎉

Combe Martin wildlife park this morning followed by surfing for group A. Every child (and Mrs Sweet) got onto their feet to surf the waves! 🌊🏄‍♀️ We all had a fantastic day! More surfing pictures to follow…
