They will be discussing: What are the commonalities between art and engineering? How can distributed systems take us to space, and give us joy? How can collective intelligence inform multidisciplinary research?

Liam Birtles is from Squidsoup and his current research concerns include haptic interaction; the role form plays in collaboration and autonomous agents and physical narrative space.

Dr Stefania Soldini from Liverpool University works in Astrodynamics, Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) algorithms for proximity operations around small celestial bodies, space robotics, solar sail technology and machine learning.

They will be discussing: In the century of biology, can we mimic biology at a microscopic level? Further, can design substitute conventional fabrication materials with biomaterial? How can design embed the inherent intelligence these organisms have?
