A reminder to all students that Sports Day takes place tomorrow.

Please ensure you:

Wear your full Academy PE kit to school. ✅

Bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. 💦

Apply sunscreen before coming to school, as we are expecting warm weather. ☀️

Merchants’ Academy House System Raises £609.05 for Teenage Cancer Trust! 💜

We're incredibly proud to share that our House system has raised an amazing £609.05 for Teenage Cancer Trust through a range of student-led fundraising events, supported by our staff.

A huge contribution came from the Frome Falcons' Scare School event, organised by Mr Harrington, which was a fantastic success. We also had brilliant bake sales led by Ms McKean, a competitive football tournament organised by Mr Armstrong, and a fun "Guess the Sweets in the Jar" competition hosted by Mr Potter.

A massive thank you to every student who took part, donated, volunteered, or helped organise these events. Your enthusiasm and generosity made this achievement possible and show what our school community can accomplish when we work together.

Thank you again to everyone who supported this fantastic cause. Together, we've made a real difference for Teenage Cancer Trust. 💜

World Cup fever is rampant! Still all set for a 1am kick off Monday morning. Therefore……

School will operate as normal (08:30 start) with 2 adaptations for those who’d like it.

1) We will at 07:30 be showing the match in Medlock Hall for any students who missed it (or wish to rewatch it!)

2) for those needing time to recover - registration on Monday will remain open until 10am.

School day will remain open as normal on Monday 6th July. We’ll be showing a replay of the game at 7.30am.

There will be a football themed quiz during tutor time with prizes and a penalty shoot out on the field at lunch time with very own semi professional footballers - Mr Armstrong and Mr Tomlinson.

Drop down day at Merchants' Academy 🤩🤩🤩

Years 7-9 sat a Science exam, learned about British Values, completed World Cup, reading and online challenges.

With ice creams and House games to top it all off - what great team work! 💪

Remember to wear your PE kit tomorrow for our drop down day. We've got lots of fun activities and a free ice cream van!

Due to temperatures returning to seasonal norms, please remind students to wear their school uniform tomorrow, with the summer term adjustment of no jumper or blazer. School skirts or tailored black shorts can be worn.
