I will have the following courses running from September 2025:
• IGCSE Physics (two-year course, but can be taken in one-year)
• KS3 Physics (Designed to be completed over three years, with each year covering separate modules that can be taken in any order. Younger students can follow the full three-year structure, while older students who may have less time available, can take the course for one or two years and be provided with a summer self-study programme to help them transition smoothly onto my IGCSE Physics course)
• KS3 Science (Covers the entire KS3 science curriculum in one year.)
• A-Level Physics (A two-year course for OCR A syllabus)
• Maths IGCSE (the second year of a two-year course.)

I will be running a KS3 Physics Course – Starting September 2025

KS3 Physics Course Overview
The KS3 Physics course is designed to be completed over three years, with each year covering separate modules that can be taken in any order.
• Younger students can follow the full three-year programme, ensuring they are well-prepared to progress to IGCSE Physics.
• Older students, who may have less time available, can take the course for one or two years and be provided with a summer self-study programme to help them transition smoothly onto the IGCSE Physics course.
This flexible approach allows students to study at a pace that suits their individual learning needs while building a strong foundation in physics.
Module Breakdown by Academic Year
• 2025–2026: Energy and Matter
• 2026–2027: Forces and Motion & The Earth and Beyond
• 2027–2028: Waves, Electricity, and Magnetism
The course does not require any prior knowledge and is accessible to all students, however students will be expected to be working at KS3 level maths.
Required Textbook
The CGP New KS3 Science Revision Guide: Higher Level (ISBN 9781841462301) (Product code: SHR33) is used throughout the course and must be obtained in advance.

1-hour live-on-line, interactive tutorial per week

Live tutorials using Zoom. These are not pre-recorded. I use online resources to complement the text book and I explain difficult topics. Students can ask and answer questions and I correct any misunderstandings or address any difficulties which a student is having. (Students can opt out of answering questions in the tutorial.)
Homework is set each week and is self-marked
Small, interactive group. In this safe environment students gain competence and confidence and become fully exam ready.

A-Level Physics
Two-year A-level physics course starting in September 2025. This course covers the full content for the OCR A specification for A-level physics. The course assumes that GCSE-level physics and maths have already been achieved. The first 3 terms of this course can be taken alone in order to cover the content of the OCR A specification for AS-level physics. All practical work is taught by the use of videos.
At AS-Level, the assessment of practical skills is by written exams only.
At A-Level a separate practical endorsement can be taken. This is advisable if the student wishes to study science at university. Parents are responsible for making their own arrangements to take the practical endorsement.
(This course will only take place if a sufficient number of students reserve a place.)
Using Zoom, there are 2.5 hours of live-on-line, interactive classes per week, during school term times.
£10 per hour paid termly in advance.
Mondays from 9am until 10.30am starting from Monday 1st September 2025. The second lesson each week will be on Thursdays from 9.30am until 10.30am.
Online resources are used to complement the text book and during the classes, students can ask and answer questions.
Homework is set each week and is self-marked.
This is a small, interactive group and in this safe environment students gain competence and confidence.

The course whizzes through the KS3 science topics in just one year and is excellent preparation for later IGCSE studies in all three sciences. If you only want to study one science at IGCSE level, then this course will help you to choose which science that should be.
1-hour live-on-line, interactive class per week, during school term times.

Just a reminder that I will have the following on-line classes starting in September 2024:
KS3 Physics – All of KS3 physics in a one-year course. 30 minutes per week. Tuesdays at 12 noon. £6 per class.
KS3 Science – All of KS3 Science in a one-year course. 60 minutes per week. Wednesdays at 11.30am. £10 per class.

Those who have already been studying biology and physics IGCSE, but would like extra help before the exam in summer 2025, are welcome to join the second year of my courses from September 2024.
IGCSE Biology year 2 will be meeting on Mondays at 9am.
IGCSE Physics year 2 will be meeting on Wednesdays at 10.30am.
