I attended Bristol BID's conference on the Future of Work this morning at the Bristol Beacon.
They had a great lineup of speakers and panellists talking about how to lead a diverse workforce and achieve high performance through authentic, human-centered leadership.
(They centered age/generation for this conference, though I believe many of the lessons translate to other differences.)
It all felt very aligned with Embrace Connection's mission. Our teams are our most important assets, and how we support them is a crucial area of focus to achieve high performance and business successs. Strong business results and team outcomes rest on an equitable, attentive human-centered approach rather than KPIs, technology or business systems.
The strategy is clear.
Certain businesses like the ones presenting on stage are achieving positive results through authentic, people-centered leadership. They have visionary leaders who are implenting cultural change from the inside.
Other companies are looking towards the same goals but feel stuck or helpless to take the first steps.
Implementing cultural change like this is difficult.
Crafting pyschologically safe environments and fostering trusting relationships is delicate and nuanced.
This is what Embrace Connection does.
We've only done small amounts of work with organisations to date, but this is a part of our future growth. We're excited to enter this space and support the future of work!
Embrace Connection
I help people find nourishing, transformative connection & belonging through events and 1-1 sessions.
My simple advice for the day:
Go for a walk in nature and give a friend a phone call.
Take care of your wellbeing and a friend's as well.
Connect with yourself, with nature, with a loved one.
Enjoy!

The Art of the Cuddle Puddle
In this special Intimacy Jam we went deep into Cuddle Puddle theory and application.
We explored group dynamics, attunement with many people at once, continual adjusting until reaching a resting position that was comfortable for everybody.
I forbade the "cutlery drawer" of a chain of spoons. Instead, I encouraged creativity in the Cuddle Puddles. Interesting positions. Layers. Movement.
People never cease to surprise me with the creativity of their authentic expression! That night we got 3 people deep. We created a configuration like filagree. We danced and played and cared for each other.
It was a beautiful and rich evening. I am so privileged to be able to hold these spaces.
QUESTION:
What is the best Cuddle Puddle you've ever been in? What made it special?
Share in the comments! I'd love to hear.

Cuddle Therapy on betterhelp.com!
Better Help is a fantastic resource around mental health -- "the largest therapy platform in the world, providing accessible and affordable care."
The article gives a thorough and fair description of Cuddle Therapy, the underlying science, benefits, who it is for, and it talks about cuddle therapists and the certification process.
I think it gives a clear positive take on the service!
BetterHelp is 100% online -- the complete opposite of Cuddle Therapy. So it's really interesting to see them writing about a type of service which complements their online talk therapy offerings so well.
What do you think about combining online talk therapy with in-person Cuddle Therapy sessions?
To find the article, go to the Advice tab on the betterhelp website and search for Cuddle Therapy.

Valentine's day is special. But mainly, I see it as a strong reminder to show our love for each other.
Which we should also do all year round! Don't save it all up for one single day.
Love builds on love. The more we share it, the stronger it is.
So keep on spreading the love with friends, family, partners, community members, strangers....
