🚨 YSA needs you! 🚨 Please come to the AGM on Wednesday 7th October. The future of YSA and fundraising for the school depends on you.

The current Yatton Schools Association committee are stepping down, and without new people coming forward, YSA may not be able to continue.

For the past 3 years, a small number of parents have been organising most of our events, and it’s simply become too much for such a small number of volunteers.

YSA puts on fireworks, discos, movie nights, carnival and more, raising money that pays for coach trips, workshops, books, classroom supplies, craft materials, Christmas concerts and lots more for our children. You may have noticed that many events/activities did not happen last year as we simply didn't have enough people to keep them going.

There are usually always plenty of people happy to help at events - we now need people willing to help organise them.

You could organise just one event, maybe get a group of friends together, or join the committee.

We urgently need a new Chair, Secretary and event organisers. Please email [email protected] if you are willing to give it a go, and come along to the AGM on 7th October.

Our wonderful volunteers were busy on Friday afternoon tidying up the reuse shed to get rid of the dust, cobwebs and and a few unwanted visitors! 🕷️😬 They have sorted and tidied all the bags - but there are quite a few more to go!
We hope to have everything sorted by the end of the term and we are just waiting for confirmation from the school that the gates will be open during the summer to allow parents to come in and have a rummage. Lots and lots of uniform in great condition in there. The boxes are absolutely heaving with trousers, skirts and shorts so please please before you go out and buy supermarket packs, do check in the shed - save yourself some money while doing a little bit to save the planet 🌎💚
If you are using the shed during the summer, please remember to leave it tidy and close the door after you.

RESPECT. Can ALL parents NOT allow their children to hang & swing off the brand new outdoor classroom canvas panels. 3 Children have been seen doing this over the past 4 days. The YSA has spent a lot of time and money on this.

A huge well done and thank you to all our incredible volunteers, sponsors, local businesses, and, of course, our amazing children!

Together, we raised an incredible £8,500 at this year's carnival – an absolutely fantastic achievement!

This didn't happen by chance. It took months of planning, hard work and dedication from our very small team of volunteer parents.

Every penny raised helps fund the extras that help make school even more special: book bags, school trips, workshops, Christmas concerts, learning resources, activities, classroom materials, books, the little things, the big things, the sparkly things, our revamped outdoor classroom, the reuse shed, even the freeze pops!.....and so much more.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, donated, sponsored, supported, or simply came along and helped make the day such a success. We couldn't do it without you.
