It's been a wet and muddy couple of weeks for us in Forest School.
Well done to everyone who brought suitable gear or a change of clothes and shoes, they've definitely been needed.
We made dens, mud sculptures and used slow steady feet through muddy puddles.

Thank you to all of those who have shown their support by purchasing raffle tickets for the chance of winning our giant Kevin the Carrot so far this week! We have had some really helpful feedback in regards to ticket sales so have some updates to share with you. We hope that this will help those of you who wish to buy tickets to do this at a time more suitable for you!

- On Thursday 17th November, tickets will be on sale from 8:30-8:45 outside Deer class (Year 3) as well as the after school time slot, for anyone who is unable to purchase after school.

Over the last two weeks we have been looking at Andy Goldsworthy and making nature art in our Forest School sessions.
Andy uses natural resources to create incredible nature art and sculptures. After looking at some of his creations, the children were allowed to make their own.
Here are just a few of the wonderful work that the children have created.

Year 3 have been really embracing Jubilee celebrations this week! We have been studying the Queen's reign during the 1980s and today attended a very famous wedding from this decade - the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. We listened to music, ate cake and of course drank champagne (lemonade)! We have had a fantastic day and have spent our afternoon designing wedding outfits and transport.

Miss Hannan and Miss Hudson thoroughly enjoyed taking a fantastic group of Year 3 children to Mangotsfield Secondary School for a tri-golf event last night. All of the children participated with great effort and had a lot of fun. We were very proud of how well they represented our school.

Unfortunately we have had to postpone tomorrow's Autism Workshop for Parents. Claire Phillips, the autism expert who was going to be leading the session, has tested positive for Covid and cannot come into school.
We will run the workshop in the near future - we will let you know as soon as a new date is confirmed. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.
