Some of our children were invited to join the residents of a local care home where they enjoyed making Valentine's crafts together. The intergenerational interaction was heartwarming and offered valuable opportunities for the children to develop their communication and artistic abilities while building their confidence. Such connections can foster empathy and respect between generations, creating a mutually enriching experience for all involved.

"Let the child be the scriptwriter, the director and the actor in their own play."
Magda Ge**er
Spontaneous play is one of the most joyous activities for all mammals, including us. It is genetically encoded into the young. Through play, babies and children unfold their intelligences, talents, aptitudes, physicality, social skills, creativity, imagination and their joy for life. Play is Nature's way of educating the 'whole being' for life, whether that being is a puppy, a lion cub or your child. Let the children play.

Our children were invited to join the residents of a local care home to listen to live music, participate in games and walk around the grounds to meet the chickens.
As the pictures show, everyone had lots of fun and the next event is already being planned.
This fairly unique opportunity encourages a real sense of connection between the young and old, whilst stimulating the children’s awareness about their local community. We have also found that this interaction raises the level of the children’s communication skills, confidence, care and empathy.

Our children share Easter with a local care home
As part of our "getting to know" our local environment we were thrilled to be asked to join in with Easter activities at a local care home last week.
The children took part in an Easter Egg Hunt and met and chatted to the residents.
It was a very enjoyable afternoon and the natural interactions between the residents and children made it a very special occasion.
We are already planning to jointly arrange other activities with the care home and we are looking forward to building a great relationship with their staff and residents.
