BLS REFRESHER SESSION – BOOK NOW

Are you a healthcare professional due your annual Basic Life Support update, or have you missed the session held at your workplace?

We’re running an open BLS session suitable for GP practice staff, dental professionals, carers, healthcare workers and other clinical staff.

📅 Thursday 17th September 2026
⏰ 09:30–11:00
📍 Greenfield Centre, Park Ave, Winterbourne, Bristol, BS36 1NJ

The 90 minute session includes:

🫀 🫁 Adult and Paediatric Basic Life Support
⚡️ Safe Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
💉 Recognition and management of anaphylaxis and choking

There will be plenty of opportunity for hands on practice, with time to refresh your skills and ask questions.

📖 Everyone attending will receive a booklet to keep, containing the latest guidance and key information covered during the session.

📧 You’ll also receive an e-certificate confirming your attendance for your training records.

📢 Exciting news

From this autumn, Bristol Life Support will be offering First Aid at Work courses 🩹🚑

We’ll be completing instructor training with Nuco Training to deliver accredited workplace first aid courses.

This means businesses will soon be able to train staff as qualified workplace first aiders.

Emergencies in primary care are rare, but when they do happen it’s vital the whole team feels confident responding 🫀

Our Basic Life Support training is designed specifically for healthcare teams and focuses on practical skills you can use in real situations.

During the session we will:

🫀 Review CPR techniques using high-quality mannequins with real-time feedback
⚡ Practice using training defibrillators and emergency equipment
💉 Run through the recognition and management of anaphylaxis, including EpiPen use
📦 Review your practice emergency equipment
📘 Provide free booklets summarising the latest 2025 Resuscitation Council guidance
