John Cabot Academy

John Cabot Academy We aspire for students to thrive academically; flourish and grow as young people.

Inspired by Learning:
We aspire to create a learning community where staff and students are engaged, challenged and inspired, and thus will take risks, make mistakes and learn from them. We endeavour to develop a sense of wonder in our learning, so that we are inquisitive, critical and curious. We will achieve this by providing moments of awe and wonder both inside and outside the classroom. Nurturing the Individual:
We aspire to meet the needs of every person in the Academy. We will embed a supportive and compassionate culture in which the whole person is nurtured and the voice of students is valued. We will achieve this by having consistent boundaries and well-understood routines that everyone knows and understands. This consistency is the key to feeling safe – and the feeling of safety and security will enable able every person in our community to explore, develop and express their individual identities. Raising our Community:
We aspire for our Academy to be the community’s school of choice. We will achieve this by building and sustaining trusting and respectful relationships between staff, students and parents. We will celebrate the diversity of the members our community by enabling them to learn from each other, by encouraging them to respect each other’s differences, and by providing opportunities to contribute to Academy life and the wider community.

Our whole-school Open Evening takes place tonight from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, giving you the opportunity to explore our site, meet our staff and students, and experience the John Cabot Academy community firsthand as admissions season gets underway.

Choosing the right school is an important decision, and we want to help families feel informed and confident when making that choice. By opening our doors before applications are finalised, we hope to provide the time and opportunity to discover everything our academy has to offer.

Our staff will be easy to spot wearing their lanyards, so if you have any questions, please do come and say hello.

We look forward to welcoming you this evening!

We were incredibly proud of the four Year 9 students who represented the school at the Battle of the Bands Competition, held at Hans Price Academy on Wednesday 15th July
Aiden, Lexi, Rose and Rosa delivered a fantastic performance and were excellent ambassadors for the school throughout the evening.
The event brought together talented young musicians from schools across the Cabot Learning Federation , creating a wonderful sense of community and celebration. It was a great night of live music, creativity and collaboration, providing a fitting artistic close to the academic year and showcasing the incredible talent that exists across our schools.
