What a year it has been! We have done so much, it was hard to find our highlights, but we look forward to another incredible year starting in September
John Cabot Academy
We aspire for students to thrive academically; flourish and grow as young people.
Inspired by Learning:
We aspire to create a learning community where staff and students are engaged, challenged and inspired, and thus will take risks, make mistakes and learn from them. We endeavour to develop a sense of wonder in our learning, so that we are inquisitive, critical and curious. We will achieve this by providing moments of awe and wonder both inside and outside the classroom. Nurtu

We were incredibly proud of the four Year 9 students who represented the school at the Battle of the Bands Competition, held at Hans Price Academy on Wednesday 15th July
Aiden, Lexi, Rose and Rosa delivered a fantastic performance and were excellent ambassadors for the school throughout the evening.
The event brought together talented young musicians from schools across the Cabot Learning Federation , creating a wonderful sense of community and celebration. It was a great night of live music, creativity and collaboration, providing a fitting artistic close to the academic year and showcasing the incredible talent that exists across our schools.

Sports Day 2026
On Thursday 9th July staff and students took to the field for our first ever morning Sports Day. During our shortened event due to the forecasted heat, we ran track events, the tug of war and relay races.
We were proud of all who took part and did their best. We had winners from all three communities and it was a close fought competition. The final results were live streamed to tutor times with last year's winners yellow (Aardman) placing third, green (Naz) coming second for the second year in a row, and blue (Banksy) taking the win.

Cabot's Got Talent!
Congratulations to all of our incredible students who took part in our summer talent show! We were blown away by the confidence, variety and incredible skill which was on display. We had students from year 7-10 singing, dancing, reading original poems and raps!
1st place went to the incredible dance group made up of Ciana, Bobby, Aziza, Neve, Zlata, Maame, Amarachi, Rachel, Daisy, Elisabeta, Nadine and Taliyah.
2nd place went to Jack and Megan who sang 'suddenly seymour' from Little shop of horrors.
3rd place went to Anaia who performed an original rap.
Thank you to our brilliant judges, Miss Goodyear, Mr Allen and Mr Baird for their positive comments and having the difficult decision of choosing the winners!
