These classes, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, are designed to show you that healthy eating doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated. Each month, we share simple, budget-friendly, nutritionally balanced recipes that are easy to recreate at home using everyday ingredients.
Come for the recipes, stay for the relaxed atmosphere, shared meal and great conversation. Whether you’re a confident cook or just here for the food, we’d love to have you!

This lunch is part of our Cook Smart, Live Well: batch cooking for cancer awareness programme funded by NHS Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire Cancer Alliance.
We’ll be here for another 2 weeks, so don’t miss the chance to enjoy some feel good food and find out more about how a low sugar, fibre rich diet can support your wellbeing. Clinicians from Nightingale Valley Practice will also be on hand to answer any health related questions.

Our Learn to Batch Cook course starts next Tuesday (30 June) and we’d love you to join us! 🧑🍳🥕🍲
In just 4 fun, hands-on sessions you’ll:
- Learn practical batch cooking skills
- Build confidence in the kitchen
- Cook nutritious, delicious meals from scratch
- Take home meals for your fridge/freezer
- Meet lovely people in a relaxed, friendly environment
We’re also delighted to have a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter at every session, so Deaf BSL users are warmly encouraged to sign up. We’re committed to making our classes as inclusive and welcoming as possible.
The course is just £5 for all four sessions thanks to funding from NHS Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire Cancer Alliance as part of our Cook Smart, Live Well cancer awareness project - but places are almost gone!

Want to cook healthy, tasty meals on a budget and feel more confident in the kitchen? Our NHS-funded 4-week Learn to Batch Cook course starts next week!
