Yoga is not just about the poses 🌿

While movement is an important part of the practice, yoga also offers tools for navigating everyday life with greater calm, awareness, and compassion.

Did you know, for example, that the word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning "to join" or "to unite"?

Traditionally, yoga was never intended to be just a physical exercise. It is a path that helps bring body, mind, breath, and awareness into harmony.

In my beginner-friendly classes, we gently explore and fully honour yoga's authentic roots through movement, breath, relaxation, philosophy, and reflection.

A practice not just for the body, but for the whole of life...on and OFF the mat

Erghhh… how often do you hear people talking about yoga these days? 🌿

ā€œThis pose… that flow… the calm… the peace… the spaciousnessā€¦ā€

It can all sound a bit much sometimes, can’t it?
But here’s a gentle question…

Have you ever actually tried it?
Not watched it.
Not imagined it.
Actually experienced it in your own body?

If not, maybe now is the time to get curious.

To step away from the noise and discover for yourself what a gentle, supportive practice really feels like.

Because yoga, as I teach it, isn’t about achieving anything other than what you make it...everything else just follows naturally when you release the modern day striving.....

There are no targets.
No pressure to perform.
No ā€œfeeling the burn.ā€
No perfection to chase.

In my classes, you are not here to become anything other than a little more at ease in yourself.

To breathe more freely.
To move more kindly.
To feel a little more like you again.

So if you’ve ever rolled your eyes at all the yoga talk… maybe come and experience the quieter truth of it instead.

Gratitude isn't always about the big things.

Sometimes it's the warmth of a simple cup of tea just a tt he right time, a moment of unexpected quiet in the chaos, a body that carries us through another day, or the kindness of a smile from a stranger.....

The more I practise gratitude, the more I notice that life's simple moments often hold the greatest gifts.....

Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to pause, breathe, and appreciate all that is already here.... 🌿

YAY - The doors finally open this afternoon for my 6 Week Tai Chi Shibashi Course for Complete Beginners ......and there is still time to join us.

These gentle classes are designed to awaken the body and calm the mind through flowing, mindful movement.

Each week we explore the Tai Chi Shibashi Set 1 sequence – a slow, breath-led meditative practice that supports:

✨ grounding and balance
✨ mobility and ease in the body
✨ peaceful calm energy and mental clarity

This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those returning to practice. You will be fully guided throughout in a welcoming, friendly and supportive space.

Hello !! 🌿

June 1st already eh? How did that happen??

Well, a new month often brings a quiet invitation to begin again or start something new....
Not with pressure.
Not with perfection.
But with small moments of care for ourselves.

If you’ve been thinking about starting yoga, Tai Chi, meditation, or simply finding a little more calm in your week… perhaps this is your sign to gently begin.

Remember:
You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need experience.
You do not need to ā€œkeep up.ā€

My classes are about FEELING the practice, not PERFORMING it :-)

We do this by:
