🏃‍♀️ Women's sport is evolving. So is the way we learn about it.

Our current range within the Female Performance Course is just the start.

Over the coming months, we'll be releasing more modules in the series of educational courses designed to help athletes, coaches and clinicians better understand the unique factors that influence female performance.

Our first three online modules explore:

🩸 The Menstrual Cycle – Understanding hormonal influences on training and performance.

💪 Strength & Power – Applying evidence-based strategies to maximise performance.

😴 Recovery Strategies – Supporting recovery, adaptation and long-term athlete development.

These courses have been developed in collaboration with Dr Matt Hancock’s team at Shapesmith Performance, combining the latest research with practical tools you can apply immediately.

Whether you're working with female athletes or looking to optimise your own performance, this is just the beginning.

✨ More female performance education is on the way.

🧠 What's the biggest mistake clinicians make when assessing movement?

Pain isn't always where the problem starts.

One of the most common mistakes we see is assessing a single joint or muscle in isolation, rather than understanding how the body moves as a whole.

Movement is connected.

A restriction, weakness or lack of control in one area can create compensations elsewhere - often leading to recurring pain or injury.

That's why a thorough movement assessment should look beyond symptoms and identify the underlying movement patterns that may be contributing to the issue.

🏃‍♀️Female athletes deserve education that's built for them.

It’s widely recognised that, much of sports performance education has been based on research conducted on male athletes. Today, there's a growing understanding that female physiology deserves its own evidence-based approach to training and performance.

That's why Shapesmith Performance, in collaboration with Comera Movement Science, is building out The Female Performance Course series- a route of education designed to help athletes, coaches and practitioners better understand female performance.

The first three parts are now available online!

The course covers:
✔️ The Menstrual Cycle
✔️ Strength & Power
✔️ Recovery Strategies

Each module combines current research with practical application, giving you knowledge you can use immediately - whether you're supporting athletes of any level or looking to optimise your own performance.

🚶‍♂️ How you move could be contributing to your pain.

When we experience pain, it's easy to focus on where it hurts.

But often, the real issue isn't the painful area itself - it's the movement patterns that led to it.

Our solutions are developed to help practitioners offer long term support to their clients’ Movement Health and wellbeing.

🚨 Pain relief isn't always problem solved.

Many people focus on treating symptoms:

❌ Back pain
❌ Knee pain
❌ Shoulder pain

But if the underlying cause isn't addressed, the problem often returns.

By assessing how you move, we can identify the root cause and help you build better movement patterns for long-term results.

✅ Better movement
✅ Reduced injury risk
✅ Improved performance

Treat the cause, not just the symptoms.

Kinetic Control teaches clinicians how to find and fix those movement patterns to help patients heal for good.

Most people think better movement comes from getting stronger.

Not necessarily.

The real question is:

👉 Can you control your movement effectively?

Kinetic Control focuses on how your body moves, not just how much force it can produce.

Better control can lead to:
✔ Better performance
✔ Reduced injury risk
✔ Improved movement efficiency
✔ Greater confidence in daily life and sport

At Comera Movement Science, we help people understand how they move and identify opportunities to move better.

Because better movement changes everything.
