And just like that... I'm married! 💖

On the 18th of July, after 12 years together, I said "I do."

Our relaxed wedding day was filled with the people who mean the most to us. Surrounded by our family and friends, it truly was everything we hoped for and more.

Walking down the aisle with our kids by our sides was one of those special moments we'll never forget.

And now it's time to get used to being called Mrs.Cherowbrier! Officially feeling a little older but I'm so very happy. 🥂✨💍💗👩‍❤️‍👨

Next time you hear from me, I'll be married! 💍

What a crazy, busy time it has been at home and at work.

Lots of learning can be had outside too and my students always love the shaving foam or water games. It adds fun to the summer sessions and can be adapted in so many ways for lots of different learning opportunities 🌞💦☺️

When you've worked with someone for three whole years, saying goodbye is such a strange feeling but I also know there comes a time when it's right to spread your wings and fly.

Arlo has been with Brain Boosters from the very beginning, and we've been on such an incredible journey together, especially with his reading and writing. Watching his confidence and skills grow has been such a privilege.

He's been an absolute pleasure to tutor every single week. While I may have been teaching him English and maths, he's been teaching me the latest kids' slang, what's trending and keeping me up to date with the world through his youthful eyes! We've always been genuinely interested in what the other has been up to and that's made our sessions so much more than just tutoring.

It really has been an absolute joy to be part of Arlo's journey. He'll be missed but I'm excited to see where his next chapter takes him. I couldn't be prouder of everything he's achieved.

Just one condition... he has to keep in touch!

Sessions will be available during the first three weeks of the holidays.

What an amazing adventure to share with my other half as we celebrated our 40th birthdays on a hot air balloon ride! 🎈✨

It was truly glorious, floating peacefully through the evening sky and taking in the beauty all around us. It also gave me a gentle reminder of just how small we are in this big, beautiful world.

What an incredible experience and one I'll never forget. 💖

Back to reality today, but with a big smile on my face and memories to last a lifetime.

One thing I've noticed time and time again is that the best learning happens when children don't feel like they're simply completing a task — they feel like they're playing.

They become curious, ask thoughtful questions, notice patterns and are more willing to tackle challenging tasks because they're motivated by the game or interactive activity. They are having fun and the learning develops naturally.

Play-based learning isn't just enjoyable — it's powerful. When children are actively involved, the learning becomes meaningful, memorable, and often extends far beyond what was originally planned.

As a play-based tutor, I can never resist a good charity shop browse and this time I struck gold! I managed to get so many brilliant games to adapt and use in my learning hub.

One of the things I love most about games is how versatile they are. They rarely stay in their original form and are often adapted to support readers, build writing confidence, develop language skills, help with fundamental maths skills or simply make learning feel more engaging and fun.

The learning opportunities are endless when a game is involved!
