DJ TUTORING [BRIGHTON]
All tutoring will take place in a professional recording studio.
DJ Tutoring: £40 (1 Hour Lesson)
£35 (for multiple pre-booked lessons)
You will be taught by Tom a Music producer & DJ originally from Oxfordshire.
Tom has held residency in multiple clubs in Oxford, played at various festivals & has taken pupils from no skill in DJ’ing to being able to record & perform live flawless mixes (through DJ’ing techniques he uses to perform live at his gigs). You will be learning in his state of the art recording studio in Brighton (near the Brighton Marina).
Some of the areas that you will be learning:
- Beat counting
- Using the EQ’s & filters.
- How to beat match without visuals.
- Tips on how to manage your library and organize your music.
- Track structure - beats, bars, and phrases
- How to prepare a set
- How to use CDJ’s & DJM mixer (or Traktor Controller & software)
- How to use Rekordbox
- How to be creative with your mixing
- Mixing between genres of music
- Crossfader techniques
- Using hot cues and loops.
- Creative ways to mix in and out.
- Creative ways to use the loop feature to remix songs, or create energy in sets.
You will be learning on CDJ 2000 Nexus’s / DJM 2000 unless you have a Traktor controller & laptop, in which I am extremely experienced and can teach you on your equipment.
