Just had this review from a new graduate, Esteban Iriarte:
"As a student who has just completed this course, I have to say I'm genuinely impressed by how much ground it covers. When I first started, I honestly wondered if 20 units might be too much, but now I see that every single one was necessary. The structure is dense, yes, but in the best possible way, nothing feels like filler.
"What struck me most is how practical everything is. It's not just theory for theory's sake. Every concept is immediately followed by classroom-ready ideas, activities, and strategies.
The PPP and ESA frameworks, the BDA approach for reading and listening, the SPaG strategies for writing, the formative assessment techniques – I can actually visualise myself using these next week. That's invaluable.
The way the course builds is also really clever. You start with fundamentals, then layer on complexity. By the time you reach units on teaching large classes or online teaching, you have a solid foundation to build on.
And the recurring themes – like the importance of vocabulary, recycling language, scaffolding – are reinforced just often enough to stick without feeling repetitive. I also appreciate that the course doesn't just prepare you for the classroom.
Units on professional development, finding a job, and culture shock show that the people behind this understand what teachers actually go through. That's rare.
If I had one word for this course, it would be thorough. It's clear an enormous amount of thought and experience went into it. I feel genuinely prepared, not just certified."
