We're looking for an Afterschool Manager to join our wonderful team at Fiveways Playcentre in Brighton!

This isn't just another childcare role—it's a chance to create magical afternoons filled with adventure, creativity, outdoor play and laughter, while leading a fantastic team in one of Brighton's most loved community play settings.

💚 What you'll be doing:
🌟 Leading our afterschool club each day (term-time ONLY)
🌟 Inspiring children through play and exciting activities
🌟 Supporting and managing a brilliant team
🌟 Building great relationships with local families
🌟 Helping children feel safe, happy and valued

✨ What you'll get:

📚 Ongoing professional development
💷 £21,500–£24,000 FTE (pro rata)
⏰ 30 hours per week, term time only (Mon–Fri, 12.30pm–6.30pm)

A huge THANK YOU to Duncan and Elaine from Brighton Bike Hub, who came to collect all our old bikes. They certainly didn't leave empty-handed! 😄

But did you know our bikes are about to get a whole new lease of life?

Brighton Bike Hub is a fantastic local charity that rescues unwanted bikes and transforms them into affordable, roadworthy rides for the community. Every year they receive over 600 donated bikes, refurbishing around 450 of them for resale at affordable prices. 🚴✨
Even the bikes that can't be saved don't go to waste—they're carefully stripped for usable parts to help repair other bikes, with the remaining materials responsibly recycled. ♻️

We are a Childcare charity that has supported families in the local area for nearly 50yrs! We’re looking for a dedicated level 2/3 Early Years Practitioner/ Playworker to join our friendly team at Fiveways Playcentre. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same — from creative play and outdoor fun to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

You’ll help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment, support children’s individual development, and build positive relationships with families and colleagues.
