Now all our dissertation stuff is out of the way, thought it was worth mentioning how bad the support has been in terms of resources for Brighton students over recent weeks. Whilst some universities can afford to have at least one library open around the clock, Brighton has been 9-5 the last three weeks. This is totally inadequate considering most students have work commitments which fall in those hours and really hits home how little the University hierarchy understands our needs. As well as that, studentcentral went offline for four consecutive days! I have never heard of that happening anywhere but Brighton; surely if maintenance is needed at this time of year it would be better to do it over night, or one day on and one day off. Finally today I go to get books for exam revision and the one copy they have of various texts available has been taken out! Its crazy... so in conclusion, please fill in the National Student Survey and let the University know that students' needs are just as important as their massive, eye watering profits. http://www.thestudentsurvey.com/
The National Student Survey (NSS) is an excellent opportunity for final year undergraduates to feedback on their academic experience, while the results will be used to help prospective students to choose courses that best suit their needs and interests.
