It's National Student Money Week! The theme this year is 'less risks, more rewards' and focuses on protecting you from financial risks like scams, and helping you enjoy the benefit of budgeting and careful spending. The Student Advice Team will be on the road visiting each campus, so please do look out for them as they'll be giving away from great freebies as well as some excellent money advice.

They'll also be posting on their blog (link in our bio) all week to tie in with the events (the blog covers advice on budgeting that is useful to everyone, but some of the posts are relevant only to students who pay the UK 'home' level of tuition fees and are eligible for funding from the UK government).

is independent from the University of Brighton, and is run by students for students. A key part of this is the role of the elected officers.

At BSU these are:

- Union President
- Post Graduate and International Officer
- Education Officer
- Activities Officer

Any enrolled student at the university can nominate themselves to stand for election for one of these roles.

The president/officer posts are full time, paid positions lasting a year.

Contact the International Advice and Support Team if you are thinking of nominating yourself and have questions about how the role would work with your Student visa or future Graduate Route visa. Our details are in the bio.
