College of Classical Massage, Brighton, Bath and Sussex Professional Massage Diploma training We are comitted to being a centre of excellence in all aspects of massage training.

The College of Classical Massage is a highly regarded and well-established massage college, teaching various internationally accredited and recognised Diploma training courses. Courses are held in Brighton and Bath at weekends and on weekdays to cater for different studying needs and locations. We offer high quality tuition with specialist tutors, in a supportive group setting. Career Opportunities -These massage courses cater for varying requirements. Many of our students intend to work as Professional Therapists, often practising alternative therapy in addition to their current career or as a full time occupation. Others study for the pleasure of learning about the body and its healing systems and the opportunity to work on their family and friends. We run ITEC Diploma courses in Holistic Massage; Anatomy and Physiology; Professional conduct and Business Awareness. For fully qualified practitioners, we offer ITEC Diplomas in Sports Massage, Certificates in Pregnancy Massage, On-Site Massage and a Certificate in Myofascial Techniques: Introductory and Advanced. We also run Introductory courses in Body Massage and Indian Head Massage, Acupressure for Childbirth and workshops in Creating a Successful and Thriving Practice.

The whole day was run so smoothly, everything was explained clearly, and the practical side was incredibly easy to follow. Michael was a brilliant teacher, sharing so much of his experience and knowledge while making the whole day relaxed, enjoyable and genuinely inspiring.

What I’ve taken away from today is so much more than just another certificate. I’ve learned a completely new way of working that I’m really excited to bring into my treatments. A little sneak peek into our Deep Tissue Workshop with Michael Gibbons, a tutor with over 30 years of experience. 🙌

We’re learning how to develop our technical skills, including soft tissue release techniques, while understanding how to use our own bodies effectively and efficiently during treatment.

In this session, we’re exploring the 360° movement of the shoulder, looking beyond just one muscle and understanding how the pectoralis major and minor can also contribute to tension and restriction around the shoulder.

By developing a deeper understanding of anatomy and movement, we can work more effectively to release tension, improve mobility and provide more informed treatments.

Deep tissue is one of those techniques that can really change the way you work.

You start to understand pressure differently. You become more aware of what you’re feeling underneath your hands, how your client responds, and how to use your body rather than simply trying to push harder.

We love seeing that moment with our students when it starts to click — when a technique they’ve been shown suddenly feels natural, and their confidence grows.

These are just a few little snippets from our deep tissue training. 🤍

What a wonderful way to finish our Level 3 Massage Diploma course here in Albourne, West Sussex. ☀️

Sunday marked the final day of learning for this fantastic group after five months of dedicated weekend study, practice, hard work and growth. It has been a pleasure to watch each student develop their confidence, knowledge and practical skills throughout the course.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to end the journey together, with sunshine, smiles and plenty of hands-on learning to round off the final session.

Congratulations to all of our students on reaching this milestone. We are so proud of everything you have achieved and look forward to seeing where your massage careers take you next.💛
