It's been a very special day. 182 people through the door and the wonderful Acabellas singing to us...Christine Booth from Sanctuary by the Sea presented us with our award....it belongs to all of us, especially the thousands of families in the city with whom we have worked since 1988.
A truly special day❤️

Fanfare please!
On Saturday 21 March, we are holding a free play event from 10am to 1pm at Tarner Family Hub.
As if that wasn't exciting enough, the Acabellas are singing at 11am and at 11.30am (cue drum roll) we will be given our TOY LIBRARY OF SANCTUARY award! We are the only toy library in the country to gain this award which is given because we welcome refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in to the project. We have been doing this since 1988 when the toy library started so it's been a long apprenticeship! Come and give us a cheer and enjoy some play time as well 🌏

Thank you lovely Toy Library peeps for donating toys and books for refugee children. We've packed up 43 gifts ready to drop off at the Voices in Exile food bank on Monday. We're still taking in gifts to distribute through the toy library sessions. Last day is Thursday 18 December. The box is emptied every day by families who are really struggling this festive time. Donated toys are still very welcome!
