Sounds Like Us is in only 2 days time! In advance, let us introduce you to our final performer - Blue Moon 🌑
We’re a group of friends from London and Sussex who love playing music together. We play a mix of pop and rock. We have Joe on drums, George on bass, Jasper on guitar, Oakley on rhythm guitar / vocals and Chloe on lead vocals, sax and keys.
We have created something inspired by the 1960s because that era changed music forever. Artists like Hendrix, The Beatles and The Stones, plus the whole Motown sound, still influence so many bands (and us) today. We’ll perform a fresh version of a classic as well as an original track that will sound like it came straight from that era.
Don't miss out on this amazing event featuring 21 fantastic local performers aged 14-19. Get your tickets now!

✨ Our next Sounds Like Us visual artist is Cherry ✨
My name is Cherry Kemp and I am a young photographer aspiring to see the beauty in everything. I am going to photograph a 60s driven montage of a female figure based off of Lesley Gore’s music - specifically focusing on her lyrical use and how this ties into the ongoing gender struggles.
Cherry is one of our brilliant, young emerging visual artists, bringing her work and creative perspective into the space as part of Sounds Like Us at Brighton Dome’s Studio Theatre as part of Brighton Festival.
Cherry is one of our incredible Sounds Like Us young artists taking over Brighton Dome Studio Theatre whose work will be featured in a youth curated art exhibition at Brighton Festival. See our website for more info about the event: https://brightonfestival.org/whats-on/Xdl-youth-curated-weekend-sounds-like-us/

Next in our Sounds Like Us “Meet The Artists” series is Rosalie Arnold ✨
“My name is Rosalie Arnold, and I am 15 years old. I am a performance poet, and I am super excited to perform some spoken word, drawing influences from the classic poets of the 60s and the modern lyricists and writers of today.”
Rosalie is one of our incredible young performers taking over the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre for an evening performance as part of Sounds Like Us at Brighton Festival.
There will also be a free Visual Artist Exhibition in the morning.
