Creative Wellbeing | Body Awareness | Community Connection

1. Introduction

Felt a F***y™ is a unique, multi-award-winning creative experience founded and led by Stephanie Crechriou. Through guided needle-felting workshops, participants are invited into a safe, inclusive and empowering space to explore creativity, body awareness, and connection.

This year has been one of growth, visibility, and impact, with workshops delivered across diverse groups including women’s circles, private celebrations, and community wellbeing programmes.

Felt a F***y™ continues to challenge stigma, celebrate anatomy, and create meaningful shared experiences through craft.

2. Mission & Vision

Mission
To empower individuals—particularly women and those assigned female at birth—through creative expression, body awareness, and community-based learning.

Vision
A world where conversations around the body, menstruation, and self-awareness are open, confident, and free from shame.

3. Key Achievements 2024–2025

Workshop Format
Duration: 90 minutes to 2.5 hours
Group size: minimum 6 participants
Fully guided needle-felting experience
No prior experience required

Felt a F***y™
Felt a F***y is a unique, playful and empowering creative workshop where participants learn the craft of needle felting to create their own colourful vulv@ artwork.

Created and hosted by Brighton-based artist Stephanie Crechriou, this award-winning, unforgettable experience combines craft, humour, body positivity and conversation in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

During the session, participants use special felting needles and natural wool fibres to sculpt and design their own Vesica Pisces. The process is surprisingly satisfying, creative and accessible — no previous experience is needed.

Celebrating International Women’s Day in Brighton with Felt a F***y™
This International Women’s Day, I had the joy of hosting two Felt a F***y™ needle-felting workshops in the heart of Brighton as part of the Brighton Girl Network International Women’s Day event at Churchill Square.

The day brought together an inspiring community of women, creatives and entrepreneurs celebrating International Women’s Day through connection, creativity and conversation.

Brighton Girl Network International Women’s Day at Churchill Square
The event took place across Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton, with a vibrant programme organised by the Brighton Girl Network. Throughout the day, visitors could discover local businesses, workshops, talks and experiences celebrating women’s creativity and entrepreneurship.

As a Brighton Girl Awards 2026 Double Finalist in the categories Creative of the Year and Experience of the Year, it was a special honour to be invited to contribute to the programme.

Felt a F***y™ at Inn On The Square
The Felt a F***y™ International Women’s Day workshops were hosted upstairs at Inn On The Square, a welcoming space just above Churchill Square.

Participants joined a relaxed and joyful needle-felting experience, where they learned how to create their own felt v***a artwork using colourful wool and simple felting techniques.

For many people it was their first time trying needle felting, and the room quickly filled with laughter, curiosity and creativity.

Felt a F***y™ is a trademarked creative experience designed to bring people together in a warm and supportive environment while encouraging open conversation about bodies, stigma and self-expression.

A Creative and Body-Positive Experience
Workshops like this are about much more than learning a craft. They create space for:

• celebrating bodies
• sparking meaningful conversations
• exploring creativity
• sharing laughter and connection

The colourful wool, the tactile process of needle felting and the playful spirit of the workshop make the Felt a F***y™ experience both creative and empowering.

A Wonderful Community Celebration
International Women’s Day in Brighton always brings incredible energy, and the Brighton Girl Network event at Churchill Square was a beautiful example of community in action.

It was inspiring to see so many people supporting women-led businesses and creative experiences across the city.
