🌿🐞 Our Nature Hunt Adventures! 🐦🌼

We love being little explorers! We have been heading outdoors on exciting nature hunts, discovering the wonderful world around us.

We have been searching high and low for fascinating bugs, colourful plants and birds flying above us. Along the way, we have been using our senses, asking questions, sharing our discoveries and learning about the different living things that make their homes in our natural environment.

Every nature hunt brings a new discovery!

We are developing our curiosity, observation skills and understanding of the world around us, all while having lots of fun exploring outdoors.

This week we have been busy little chefs!

We have been cooking and baking for our second courses after meals and we have had so much fun learning new skills along the way. We have made bread, vegetable egg muffins and delicious cheese and courgette scones. We have been measuring ingredients, cracking eggs, pouring and mixing, then rolling out the dough and cutting it into different shapes.
We have been learning how to follow instructions, measure carefully and see how different ingredients change when we cook them.

Most importantly, we have loved getting stuck in and tasting our yummy creations!

What a colourful time we've been having as we explore Pride, inclusion and what makes each of us special! 🌈✨

We have been exploring inclusion and recognising our similarities and differences. Through a range of activities, we have talked about what it means to be proud of who we are while respecting others.

We have celebrated the things that make each person unique and recognised the many ways we are alike. Our activities have encouraged kindness, respect, empathy, and an understanding that everyone deserves to feel valued, included and accepted.

We’ve been making a BIG splash!

We've been pouring, filling and emptying lots of different containers, painting pictures on the shutters with water, and splashing our way through the "river" in Little Explorers. We even found some muddy puddles... and they were SO much fun!

While we've been busy cooling down, we've also been learning without even realising it. Water play helps us explore, solve problems, build our hand muscles and use our imaginations as we play.

We're learning all about where our food comes from!

We explored lots of different fruits and vegetables using our eyes, hands and noses. We felt bumpy, smooth, soft and crunchy textures, spotted lots of bright colours and discovered that every fruit and vegetable is different.

Then, instead of letting them go to waste, we turned them into amazing works of art by using them for fruit and vegetable printing. We loved seeing the colourful patterns and shapes we could create!

We're having so much fun learning through exploring, creating and using our senses every step of the way.

More trips to the beach!!

We paddled our little feet in the sea and laughed as the waves splashed our toes. It felt so cool and refreshing on such a warm days.

We talked about how to stay safe in the sunshine by wearing our sun hats, drinking lots of water and finding shady spots when we needed a rest. We even discovered how the sea can help us cool down (with our grown-ups close by, of course!).

Every adventure helps us learn something new, exploring nature with all our senses while making wonderful seaside memories with our friends.

We can't wait to see where our next Little Explorers adventure takes us!

We love our trips to the local beach.

We are The Little Explorers, searching along the shore for natural treasures like shells, pebbles, seaweed and driftwood to use as resources for building our own beach sculptures. We use our imagination, work together and discover how nature can inspire our creativity.

We also have lots of fun burying each other in the sand, giggling all the way. It is always a great opportunity to build friendships, develop teamwork and enjoy sensory play in the great outdoors.

We listen carefully to our grown ups, stay safe and make good choices throughout our adventure.

How lucky are we to have this beach so close by?!!!

We have enjoyed our very own spa day!

Learning how to look after ourselves in the hot weather and how to stay cool.

We relaxed with cool cucumbers on our eyes, sipped refreshing orange infused water and cooled our tired feet in soothing foot baths. We have been having lots of fun with water play, splashing, pouring and exploring different ways to keep cool while learning why it's so important to drink plenty of water, stay in the shade and listen to our bodies when it's hot.

Perfect timing for the warm weather and heatwave expected next week, we're ready for you! We know how to keep ourselves cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy the sunshine safely while becoming more independent every day.

Keeping Cool this WEEK!! 😎

This hot weather gave us the perfect chance to make our very own refreshing fruit mocktails!

We looked at lots of colourful fruits and chose our favourites. We added our fruit to cups filled with ice and water, then watched as our drinks became bright, fruity and extra refreshing.

We practised making our own choices, developed our fine motor skills by carefully adding the fruit, and discovered how ice helps keep our drinks nice and cool.

We loved creating our healthy summer drinks and enjoyed cooling down while staying hydrated during the heatwave.
